I'm guessing that the pilot had done many similar 360's with a roll angle like that with plenty of altitude to see when a tip stall would start. He was coming in hot at the start of the turn and seemed to keep his speed well up but I bet he was watching his airspeed instruments VERY closely!.

These are top notch gliders probably with a glide ratio of 60:1, but I am wondering if they are experimental with two model jet engines powering them just enough to keep them flying but the real climax does to the gliding efficiency, Brilliant in every way.
